BVRC Special Event Station K5A — Commemorating the 190th Anniversary of Arkansas's Statehood

BVRC Club Station W5NX will be on the air at the ALETA building with the Special Event callsign K5A during the weekend of Saturday, June 13 – Sunday, June 14, 2026, commemorating the 190th Anniversary of Arkansas’s Statehood (Arkansas became a state on June 15, 1836).

The event runs daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, divided into 3 operating segments. All operators are encouraged to come and operate. Propagation is expected to be good, with large pileups from Special Event Station enthusiasts attempting to work K5A — an excellent opportunity for new amateurs to gain experience.

A K5A QSL card will be issued for the event and given to each BVRC member participant.
