NWA WX WATCH

Post by kg5tud »

Does anyone know if the NWAWXWATCH group is still around I know their webpage is defunct and their Facebook hasn't shown any activity since 2017,
I went to their Technician Class and now my wife is wanting to get her Tech license and I was hoping to be able to take her to their class. I know Arron Matthews from Pea Ridge was significant part of the group.

I haven't heard from those guys is a while now. I really don't know.
Sometime about a year ago I removed their NWA Watch weather net off the website, as I was notified they no longer met.

There's a bunch of good Amateur Radio Ops in Pea Ridge. I gave some police officers their tests a while back.

It might be a while before a class happens. I have used http://www.hamstudy.org in the past to learn what's required to pass the tests. The ARRL and other VEC's are experimenting with online exams. So maybe study that and take a online test to get a license faster than waiting for in person classes.

Just thought I would throw out another option.
